Skiff Mountain Terrace 2008
We hand-split this 17' edger or curb for the parking terrace from a large flat piece of Norfolk ledge. As we moved off the terrace to do a connecting walk, a large truck parked here to discharge construction materials for the house interior - the terrace stones stayed in place.

We added large, graduated stone steps into the doorway, and another to access the porch from the pedestrian terrace.

This piece went into the middle of the parking area and weighed more than 2 tons. Truck was only able to carry 4 rocks that trip.
Washington Neo-Colonial
To give the impression of age, we used 1880s Norwich in this low retaining wall and steps for the front yard.

Machine tracks are visible to the left, as we have not yet done lawn repair. Nor has the owner finished planting. Still amazing for 4 days' work....
