We hand-split this 17' edger or curb for the parking terrace from a large flat piece of Norfolk ledge. As we moved off the terrace to do a connecting walk, a large truck parked here to discharge construction materials for the house interior - the terrace stones stayed in place.

We added large, graduated stone steps into the doorway, and another to access the porch from the pedestrian terrace.

This piece went into the middle of the parking area and weighed more than 2 tons. Truck was only able to carry 4 rocks that trip.
